Hello!

I am Patrick. I am a piano teacher, pianist and music composer.

I provide one-to-one piano tuition for adults and for children from age 7 and up. As an experienced piano teacher I have had the honour and pleasure to start many students on their piano journeys and assisted many along their way.
Lessons take place in my piano studio near Lyme Regis, Seaton and Axminster in East Devon. The studio has both a grand piano and an upright piano. If you would like to book a lesson for yourself or a family member please feel free to contact me using the site contact form or scroll down and book an introductory call using the calendar below. Lessons:
What do you teach?
The primary aim is for students to enjoy learning and to develop their musical skills and knowledge to become confident independent learners. Playing with relaxed, balanced technique, avoiding injury, learning to read music notation and chord symbols, learning about harmony, rhythm and developing listening skills are fundamental. Although primarily trained as a classical musician, I’m experienced as a studio session musician and have played in bands playing folk, rock, ska, funk and country styles. I embrace jazz and contemporary popular music as well as composition and improvisation. Past students have achieved accolades such as distinction at Grade 8 exams, however I don’t insist on following exam board grading systems unless students wish to do so, my own path was with private tutors and university study.
